Privacy policy

Squirrel Poker ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you shop with us, how we use it and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who we are

The data controller is Stuart Mills, trading as Squirrel Poker (sole trader), of 4 Mountfield, Hythe, Southampton, Hampshire, SO45 5AQ. Contact: spcouk@squirrelpoker.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Your name, delivery and billing addresses, email address and phone number.
  • Your order history and any messages you send us.
  • Payment details, which are processed securely by our payment providers (Shopify Payments and PayPal). We never see or store your full card number.
  • Information about how you use our website, collected through cookies (see below).

How we use it

  • To fulfil your order – processing payment, delivery and after-sales support (contract).
  • To keep records required for tax and accounting (legal obligation).
  • To prevent fraud and keep our shop secure (legitimate interests).
  • To send you offers and news – only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email (consent).

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the companies that help us run our business: our e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment providers, our fulfilment partner (Think Worldwide Limited) and delivery carriers (such as Royal Mail, Evri, Parcelforce, DHL and UPS). We never sell your personal information. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for six years to meet our legal obligations. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to make the shop work (for example, your basket) and, with your permission, analytics and marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie banner.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
